Make sure the signal reaches you.

Filters and spam classifiers occasionally pull our weekly signal under the surface. A two-minute whitelist keeps it above water.

Gmail

  1. Open any message from Tale of the Whale.
  2. Click the three-dot menu in the top right of the message.
  3. Select 'Filter messages like these', then 'Create filter'.
  4. Check 'Never send it to Spam' and click 'Create filter'.
  5. Alternatively, drag the email from the Promotions tab into Primary, then confirm 'Yes' when asked to always do this.

Outlook

  1. Open a message from Tale of the Whale.
  2. Right-click the message and choose 'Junk' → 'Never Block Sender'.
  3. To add to safe senders: Settings → Mail → Junk Email → Safe senders and domains → Add → enter the sender email and Save.

Apple Mail

  1. Open the message from Tale of the Whale on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
  2. Tap or click the sender's name at the top.
  3. Select 'Add to Contacts' or 'Add to VIPs'.
  4. Messages from saved contacts are kept out of the Junk filter on most Apple Mail configurations.

Yahoo Mail

  1. Open the message in Yahoo Mail.
  2. Click the three-dot 'More' menu and select 'Add Sender to Contacts'.
  3. To create a filter: Settings → More Settings → Filters → Add new filters → match the sender address and route to Inbox.
